Got to admire the "Mars Attacks" style brazen nonsense from the Russians, announcing a pie-in-the-sky "36 hour cease fire" whilst continuing flatten Bakhmut regardless. As believable as their referendum results.

Ten million Americans have allegedly applied to go and kill people on behalf of Russia.
My completely unscientific, back of a fag packet estimate as to how many of those 10,000,000 are Trump supporters who less than a decade ago hated Russia 'coz Commies, comes to approximately 9,999,999. :D

When I saw the news of what seemed like yet another "high ranking" Russian tumble to their death from a similarly high ranking window, I thought it seems to happen rather often. According to this Wiki article it's even more often than I thought.

Could all just be coincidence, of course. Or maybe they don't make very reliable windows. Either way, I'd be hoping for a bungalow if I worked over there.

Top Putin defence official, 58, plunges 160ft to her death from 16th-floor tower block window - the latest high-ranking figure to die in a mysterious fall

Marina Yankina (pictured), 58, was discovered by a passerby at the entrance of a house on Zamshina Street in St Petersburg. She is believed to have fallen 160ft to her death

"NATO shill" John McDonnell on the socialist case for backing Ukraine:
For me, I have a history of opposing, speaking against and voting against illegal invasions of countries from Iraq to the sending of troops into Afghanistan and the bombing of Libya and Syria.

So, with such a consistent track record of opposing illegal wars launched by imperial powers, it is completely understandable why I have opposed and condemned the Russian invasion of Ukraine and why I have supported arming Ukrainians fighting the invasion of their country.

A lot more in the link.

Bombs the bejeezurs out of Kiev and the rest of Ukraine for over a year, gets a wee explosion in Moscow this morning and claims that "from today" it makes Zelensky a terrorist.
I can bomb your capital city as much as I like but retaliate and I'll whine about terrorism (or Nazis, or whatever the pathetic excuse for mass murder is today). Risible enough even if it wasn't a false flag, which it could well be.

-EDIT-
Hasn't taken long for alleged false flag "evidence" to appear. Meanwhile Ukraine has predictably denied having anything to do with it.

You misapprehend the situation. Nations are allowed to hammer the heck out of each other's citizens and infrastructure - but attempts on the leadership are considered unbecoming. Now tit can be played for tat. Zelensky just bet his life.

Perhaps I do misapprehend. OTOH, perhaps it is you who misapprehends. Now tit can be played for tat? The Russian tit to this alleged tat so far has been to bomb Kiev. Again. Like they have already done so many times. Given the failed Russian attempts to take Kiev at the start of the invasion, combined with subsequent, continuous bombing, both targeted and seemingly indiscriminate, I see no reason to believe Moscow didn't already want Zelensky dead. That's not too much of a bet to lose for him personally. Nonetheless, I also see nothing yet to prove Zelensky was behind the Kremlin "drones" and am intrigued by how quickly and unambiguously you reached such a conclusion. Ukraine has denied it and Medvdev is now blaming the US. There's also evidence of Ukraine being discouraged from attacking Russia on Russian soil at all. The Ukranian tat to Russia's myriad tits has so far been limited, and almost exclusively confined to Ukrainian sovereign territory.
Furthermore, I've obviously missed such chivalry towards leadership in other conflicts. Seems the US don't subscribe to it either, otherwise we could've asked Saddam, Osama or Gaddafi how unbecoming such behaviour is. Or do you think it is only the noble and Corinthian-spirited Russians who exhibit this kind of gentlemanly conduct? It's been clear for a long time now that the capture or killing of Zelensky would be a major morale fillip for Russia, and potentially devastating for Ukraine. Yet we are to believe that if such an opportunity had presented itself Putin would have demurred due to it being considered unbecoming? Moreover that this little fireworks display is considered by him a credible attempt on his life and therefore he'll only now abandon his high-minded principles? A little too silly and far-fetched for my tastes.

The motivations of crackpots like this fascinate me. "I think group x are evil so I'm going to do some evil and attempt my own little false flag so that other people see how evil group x are." Who did she hope to convince that Azov were running around Michigan? Bonkers. Some overlap with Qanon too.

So it gets weirder. Turns out she is a journalist for Mintpress who has been amplified in the past by Blumenthal. Or, perhaps, that makes her behaviour more understandable. Someone with that background not being too fond of Jewish people wouldn't shock anyone. The last step to "It's not me that hates the Jews! Look, it's the Michigan branch of Azov that hates the Jews!!" is the unexpected kicker.

Sounds like a nutter. Tried to burn down a Church of Scientology as well? Raises interesting legal questions too. If a person fakes a hate crime, is it a hate crime?
Not surprised that a swastika graffiti turned out to be a hoax though. Many of them are - from people trying to play the victim usually. But who would believe that AZOV would bother taking the time to vandalize a synagogue in California when they are having so much fun killing Russians in Donbas.
