people like him need to have their insides torn out

I'm dead serious. I mean, no sane person would say such things.
actually, many of us here in the US have basically been insisting the same thing. No normal, caring, human person says the sort of horrible anti-women / anti-human crap people like him vomit out of their mouths.

it just makes NO sense At All.

and yet, idiots like him keep blah blah blahing

Afraid of being raped? It's not concern. Houses get flooded all the time we buy insurance for that. So buy insurance that'll help prevent the expenses you'll incur from being raped - Michigan Republican logic at work.

Now that's the Libertarian dream in action: that man paid good money to rent the body of another human being in the free market, and when she didn't deliver the promised services he asserted his property rights without appealing to the tyrannical state by shooting her. Texas — the beacon of liberty!

there are seriously insane people living in this country.

how that piece of crap doesn't wake up every morning wanting to eat a bullet on behalf of society is beyond me... when my "texas god given right to ejaculate for 150 bucks" out weighs another humans "right to live" then i'd say we should encourage the secessionist movement. please donate whatever you can to afford the success of their cause... in one of the comments it is noted that "florida man" better watch his back cause texas man gaining ground...;)

From what little information is there - I would have had a hard time deciding the case otherwise. It seems we have a case of a person in need of therapy demonstrating how stupid a law is. In this case it was an agreement gone wrong, but the law seems like it would also apply to a vagrant stealing apples in the night or some punk kid making off with your garden gnome. In fact, it seems like it might even be applicable to downloading a movie during the wee hours without the approval of the copyright owner.

I doubt whether the law had any baring on his choices that night, but if the law wasn't there then the outcome of his trial would be different. Presumably he would have had access to the courts to sue for the $150 or have the escort arrested - and if he could not then THAT may be were the law needs to be changed. Where activities are deemed illegal, participants in those activities have to deal with disputes amongst themselves.

Jessica Ahlquist is a success story because she fought back

too bad they did away with disclosure of jury nullification during the judges instructions to the jury... jurors used to be able to think for themselves....

But it only works one way. If the jury convicts then the convicted can appeal (and a judge could decide that the conviction is unlawful). Only if the jury finds not guilty is the finding likely to take because the accused cannot be tried again for the same charge.
