The death of Liberalism is hilarious!

Might be better in Globalism thread because destabilizing the US is the plan all along. But, I'll just put it here to laugh at ridiculously incompetent Libertards who truly think gooberment is an bottomless honeypot.

I don't think they mean to destabilise per se, I just think that some people are more interested in diverting public wealth to themselves - kind of the way cancer is bad for the body, but in the short term it's good for the cell not happy to merely do their job and get by. Giving power to the few to manage public wealth is inherently risky, for example:

the Interior Department made an extraordinary but little noticed change in procedures under the 1872 Mining Law, the gold rush–era act that permitted those whiskered small-time prospectors with their tin pans and mules to stake claims on their tiny plots. The department initiated an expedited procedure for mining companies that allowed Barrick to swiftly lay claim to the largest gold find in America. In the terminology of the law, Barrick could "perfect its patent" on the estimated $10 billion in ore—for which Barrick paid the U.S. Treasury a little under $10,000. Eureka!
The Best Democracy Money Can Buy

A pretty sweet million times return on investment.

The idea that tax payers taxes should be spent on making taxpayers lives better is not very controversial. The problem is that politicians tend to steal it or are "advised" by con men who steal it.

According to a former budget adviser to the governor, soon more than 25 cents of every tax dollar collected will go to retired state employees.

That should be the least of their concerns. The retired employees will probably mostly stay in state and spend most of that money in state where it will support local businesses and eventually a good portion of that will cycle back into the tax system to go out again to locals. The bigger problem is the large interest payments that go to out of state giant financial institutions that are less likely to spend it back where it came from.

When money is created by modern banking it simultaneously creates debt. When debt is repaid it destroys money making it harder (and ultimately mathematically impossible) to pay off the debt. Default is required to even out the equation but default is treated as a failure of the system rather than a necessary part of it thus people on the losing ends of bets run off to the government to get their money back. Meanwhile, schemes like the pension that are funded by taxes cycle money allowing it to continue to do economic work. Most states are not in control of their own money creation so use private banks for that purpose. North Dakota has it's own bank with which it can create the money it needs to run its economy. North Dakota was slammed hard by the oil bust but paying yourself the interest you are charging on your loans to yourself really helps manage the pain.

Well yes it does go deeper than the article gets into, that is true. The article is not wrong, but the problem is much, much worse than stated.

Libertards new talking points "Science is bad! End science!".

Slate: Stop Equating “Science” With Truth

When Libertards lose arguments because science does not back up their claim, they want to throw it out. Like Global Warming and most of their other world views, there is no science to back it up. Liberalism is a cult. Libertards are cult members.

Seems to me that there are multiple issues at play here. First is that the tax take does not meet obligations, second is that increasing the taxes in one fell swoop without also looking to trim where possible looks bad on its face and is obviously going to spook folk. Third is however a social issue in that there is a belief among many that taxation in and of itself is immoral, which pressed taxes below the point that income could meet obligation.

Its pretty much the perfect sh!tstorm. One that is repeating all over the US in both republican and democrat states.

Question is what can be done, what should be done and realistically how much is the US as a whole prepared to give up in order to balance its books?

Oh boy. I would really love to see the video/hear the audio of that. Got a source for that?

Oh boy. I would really love to see the video/hear the audio of that. Got a source for that?

How about the biased, pinko, liberal, left-wing Snopes?

The quotation is entirely fabricated. The meme does not present a source, and we could find no record of Maxine Waters ever having said this, despite searching the Congressional Record, an archive of her press releases and statements, and Google News.

The obvious logical error (after a nuclear attack, the United States would naturally be at war) also indicates that this is no more than a fake quote designed to harm the Congresswoman’s reputation.

Maxine Waters has been the target of several previous fake stories and fabricated quotes.

It could be in the "Fake News" thread.

Surprised to see it passed off as fact on here?
Nah, me neither.

Cults eventually tear themselves apart from the inside out. That's what we are seeing here, the end of a cult. BLM and Antifa are going at each other now and your blackness is defined by a skin color chart?

Is there anything more textbook racist than SJW Libertards? Most libertards didn't care when they were just going after evil whitey, but now people not dark enough too? LMAO at these f***ing morons!

When you compete for attention based on category of victimhood it only makes sense to make smaller, ever more specialised categories that you can win in. Problem is, if you start to win too much you lose your loser status and then you lose.

Liberal scholar Noam Chomsky condemns Antifa

He said that when they take anti-free speech positions and try to shut down people just because they disagree with them it “is very self-destructive” and empowers conservatives and the far-right.

Chomsky double-down by saying it made no sense for Antifa to have physical altercations with right-wingers because they’re not nearly as strong. Without weapons or upper arm strength, Antifa is no match.

“As for Antifa, it’s a minuscule fringe of the Left, just as its predecessors were,” Chomsky continued. “It’s a major gift to the Right, including the militant Right, who are exuberant.”

Unlike other leftists and even Republicans including Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) and former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney, Chomsky even was willing to compare Antifa to a terrorist organization.

“There’s some limited similarity to the Weather Underground,” he said about Antifa comparing them to the far-left anti-Vietnam War group. “Weathermen differed not only in radically different context, but also in tactics, almost always against property, in intent at least… Antifa purports to be defensive.”

/pol/ is now using Antifa tactics against them. The doxxing of Antifa members has begun.

Full list of antifa members.

I'm sure this will end up a lot more complete than a list of names. A website with searchable names, pictures and detailed information will be coming I am sure. It's all fun and games for Libertards, until their own tactics are used against them.

Wall Street Journal Editor Admonishes Reporters Over Trump Coverage

“Sorry. This is commentary dressed up as news reporting,” Mr. Baker wrote at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday morning to a group of Journal reporters and editors, in response to a draft of the rally article that was intended for the newspaper’s final edition.

He added in a follow-up, “Could we please just stick to reporting what he said rather than packaging it in exegesis and selective criticism?”

Holy crap! Can we have more of this guy? Have reporters actually report facts and not inject propaganda? Gee, what a concept!

Libertards eating their own is hilarious, but at times really, really pathetic.

James Cameron Sparks Outrage for Saying ‘Wonder Woman’ a ‘Step Backwards’ for Female Characters

I hear Wonder Woman is actually a pretty good movie, despite the fact it was created with an open female empowerment propaganda angle. From what I've seen and heard so far, I think James Cameron's comments are a valid point. Instead of taking his comments at face value, whether they agree or not, they are going for the throat trying to destroy him. I won't even copypasta here, but you can read in the article.

I think what is happening here, is they wish James Cameron wold just either go away or die. He himself just existing absolutely ruins their narrative that Wonder Woman is the first strong female character ever in a movie. These libertards get angry when you point out Alien(s), Terminator II etc. It just shows how shallow and/or brainwashed they are.
