Too much to hope that his day may yet come but after the revelation from Hillary's email server about Blair backing Bush for war while saying he wasn't (as if the Downing Street memos hadn't already said that), now this little tid-bit - A.G. Goldsmith told Tony the war would probably be illegal so Tony told him to think again and meanwhile (burn the document).

I thought we already knew this?

I thought we already knew this?

Indeed.
You, me, Fluffy, the dugs in the street, etc, all already knew this.

However, there were and still are plenty of people who either believe it was justified and legal or *claim to believe* it was justified and legal.
With each new confirming piece of evidence, some of those in the first cohort may now see that they were wrong.
The other cohort will just continue lying, of course.

Let's not forget that this whole thing is over a decade old now and a whole new bunch of minds have been raised in the meantime who were not particularly aware of the world when this stuff happened.

And here we go again:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-34989302

MPs have overwhelmingly voted by 397 to 223 to authorise UK air strikes against so-called Islamic State in Syria after an impassioned 10-hour Commons debate.

The BBC understands 67 Labour MPs sided with the government in backing military action as David Cameron secured a larger than expected Commons majority.

The PM said they had "taken the right decision to keep the country safe" but opponents said the move was a mistake.

The government has said bombing raids will begin "as soon as [is] practical".

And the US is adding unwanted forces to the area. Everyone's trying to get in on the game - the US is worried that Assad will win the war and they won't be able to take over so they're sending in all their NATO friends (or are the French and Germans going there for their own reasons? Interesting times). Guess it's a race now to see who can get more guns in there than the other guys - before the Chinese show up.
