The Vote Will Be Stolen - AGAIN!

I just couldn't get past Robbin's hope for a more egalitarian/democratic system.
AND FOR WHAT? The ability to vote for a Socialist!
Kind of reminds me of those folks from the old USSR pining away for the good old days of Communism.
 
Wait. I'm confused. There was ever any doubt that the vote would be rigged "this time"?

One could successfully argue that the vote of the American people hasn't truly mattered since Reagan's last election...

Fair enough. Vote rigging goes back to the invention of voting.
It's just interesting to know how it's done. If you can find a correlation between common first-name last-name pairs and party affiliation and can find a plausible sounding way to eliminate those pairings from the voter rolls then you can shift the outcome by a significant percentage.

How about 1992? Afterall, this was an election year when a third-party candidate had a very real chance to be elected president.

That is a true statement. One forgets about Ross Perot once he pretty much self-destructed.. That's what we're seeing here and now with Trump (the self-destruction part).

I'm not generally a conspiracy theorist, but I am beginning to wonder if his continued actions and self-sabotage aren't part of the larger goal of both destroying the Republican Party *and* getting Hillary elected. I guess the tell will be when he loses but goes back to being buddy-buddy with the Clintons...

As soon as he appeared as a candidate, I had similar thoughts.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I too thought about it but actively tried to dismiss the thoughts as he kept going forward.
  • The media has already told us Queen Benghazi will be POTUS
  • The media pushed and praised Trump to get him to get the official candidacy (filling news cycles)
  • Now that he's the candidate and continues to blurt out stupid shit, the media is actively turning on him and dissecting every noun, verb, and adverb out of his mouth.
  • Meanwhile, the media is actively giving Clinton a pass on pretty much all of her illegal activities.
That leads me to question why we're even bothering to pretend we matter any more...
