Canada uses a Northumberland beach in Alberta tourism ad

As a kid, we often used to go to either Cumbria or Northumberland for a day out. It was a nice change of scene from the Teesside area where I grew up.

Quite surprising that they'd use it in their Ad though. Couldn't they be had for false advertising?

It sounds like it was a mistake rather than anything trying to mislead people.

Northumberland is brilliant. It's the most overlooked and under populated county in England. A few weeks ago I took the bike up to Kielder and did some cycling, apart from when I stopped at the village I only saw 2 other people the whole time.
