The written conversation sounds like a good balance between true and BS. What's more telling are the reactions and denials, identically worded, from both sides...

It is what it is, and, as the author says there are several ways in which it may have come to be, but it's hard to see any positive way that this could have become a story. Either it happened that way and that's probably a problem - or it didn't but someone in a position of credibility created it to throw a wrench in the works. Whichever way you look at it, someone high up is disgruntled - either at Biby, at Barry or at both. I'll be interested to see if anyone gets named and shamed or prosecuted out of this, but I suspect it will be dealt with privately and quietly if at all.
