The Millionaires Union is clearly hurting football by their collective bargining. Yet Republicans and the standard 'we hate union' attitude here of the right wingers don't mention a peep about it. Whyzzat?

Because we follow college football.

The members of the NFL players union are very highly compensated, I agree millionaires union would be a good nickname for them.

Median NFL player salary: $770000.

I mentioned it when the lockout first began IIRC. I don't mention sports here much anymore after Wayne removed the sports category. As much as I love football, the NFL players union is as bad as any union. Millionaires -vs- Billionaires, hard to feel bad for either side or even relate to either side. That said, the owners are just that, owners. The idea that the union could hold the owners hostage and demand more money is dreadful.

I am glad it is all over and the game can be played.

Actually they are not.
OK, so Contractors are self-employees undertakes a contract to provide materials or labor to perform a service or do a job. These players sell themselves to agree base on contract between the players and the owners.
