‘Glee’ Star Found Dead After Child Pornography Conviction

‘Glee’ star Mark Salling was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography last year. The star of the hugely popular musical comedy had up to 50,000 images of child pornography on his home computer. Salling was charged two counts of child pornography and as part of a plea deal agreed to pay $50,000 in restitution to each of the victims – presumably the ones from the photos.

Salling also agreed to serve 4-7 years with 20 years supervised released and he would be required to register as a sex offender.

According to TMZ the 36-year-old actor was found dead alongside a riverbed in Sunland, CA. Although details are limited, the police seem to be indicating his death was by suicide.

I didn't read the full interview but based on what i read i am going to side with Tarantino on this. While his choice of words is questionable i feel there is a big difference between a 13 year old and a 3 year old. This is statuary rape at most.

OK. The details of this particular case also always bothered me. It was rape and he is a pedo, yet Hollywood to this day shields him.

In the 70s state laws varied even more than they do now, but AFAIK the age of consent was never 13 in any US state. On a broader subject of genuine "statutory rape" where both parties are genuinely consenting it can be more nuanced, especially as far back as the 70s, but that's not the case here.
