Personally I think it is a stretch to say "must be punished" is a violent threat.

I agree.

Even if it were so, it would seem Twitter is very selective when suspending people for doing so.

Yup - make it up as they go along.

That said, it's their party and they can cry (foul) if they want to.

Speaking of crossover, here's the biggest one yet.

EXCLUSIVE: US left wing groups travelled to Germany for the G20 Summit last July to meet with Al qaeda and ISIS leaders and plot the destruction of President Trump, secret FBI investigation reveals

The FBI report on efforts by Islamic terrorists to recruit followers among violent U.S. groups like Antifa corroborates President Trump's controversial claim, following last summer's deadly protests in Charlottesville, Virginia, that left-wing anarchist groups are just as dangerous as right-wing white supremacists.

'This is the greatest challenge to law enforcement since the Weather Underground and the Black Panther Party,' the FBI report declared.

Last summer, the FBI dispatched a task force to Europe to report on massive demonstrations planned by radical groups, such as the German contingent Antifaschistische Aktion, to protest President Trump's attendance at a meeting of leaders and central bank governors of the G20 group of major industrialized countries

'Task force covered G20 meeting in Hamburg, studied intel from local authorities, Interpol, and other assets, determined that as assumed U.S.-backed anarchist/radical groups had traveled to Germany and took place in the violence,' the FBI's summary stated.

'There is also evidence of meetings between these individuals and associates of ISIS. There is an urgent need to closely surveil the identified individuals.'

The agents sent by the FBI paid particular attention to a group of anarchists from Oakland, a major port city that lies adjacent to the campus of the University of California at Berkeley, the scene of several violent protests.

Yeah, I have to pick and chose which thread to drop things in. There is so much crossover.
True. I think Funny Pics probably gets more eyeballs though. If I'm pushed for time, I'm more likely to check that one out than the political threads as you can get a quick giggle and move on without having to think too much.

Twitter Suppressed Massive Stash of Tweets Unflattering To Clinton During 2016 Presidential Election

In the final two months of the 2016 presidential campaign, Twitter hid tens of thousands of tweets critical of Hillary Clinton and John Podesta posted using two popular hashtags.

Twitter general counsel Sean Edgett admitted to congress in written testimony on Tuesday that its automated systems flagged and hid 48 percent of tweets using the #DNCLeak hashtag and 25 percent of the tweets posted in under #PodestaEmails.

At the time, pro-transparency organization WikiLeaks released the DNC and Podesta emails, which exposed collusion between journalists in the mainstream media and key individuals within Clinton’s presidential campaign. The leaks, which were severely damaging to Clinton, revealed how Democratic party officials secretly aided her in the primaries against Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Send Nudes: Facebook Wants Naked Pictures of Users

According to Tech Crunch, “The strategy entails uploading your nude photos or videos to Messenger in order to help Facebook tag it as non-consensual explicit media.”

“Facebook is doing this in partnership with Australian government agency e-Safety in order to try to prevent people from sharing intimate images without consent. If someone fears they are at risk of revenge porn, they can contact e-Safety,” they explained. “The organization might then tell them to send a nude photo of themselves to themselves via Messenger. Facebook’s hashing system would then be able to recognize those images in the future without needing to store them on its servers.”

In an interview, e-Safety Commissioner Julie Inman addressed privacy concerns, claiming, “They’re not storing the image, they’re storing the link and using artificial intelligence and other photo-matching technologies.”

Joe Biden Describes Unhappy Candidate Hillary Clinton in New Memoir

The book reveals details about his life, both personal and political, including his perspective that Hillary Clinton did not only seem unhappy about her presidential bid but that she was somehow not in control of her destiny.

DelwareOnline previewed the book, including a meeting between Biden and Clinton where she asked him if he was going to throw his hat into the presidential ring. That portion of the book preview is entitled “Hillary Not Happy.”

“As I walked her to the front door on the way out, I was pretty sure Hillary hadn’t gotten all she had come for that morning,” Biden wrote about telling Clinton that he hadn’t decided given his grief over his son Beau’s losing battle with brain cancer:

I felt a little twinge of sadness for Hillary as I watched her walk down the steps that morning. She did not evince much joy at the prospect of running.

I may have misread her entirely that morning, but she seemed to me like a person propelled by forces not entirely of her own making. And I had absolutely no doubt she understood how brutal the campaign would be for her. What she was about to do took real courage.
