Meh! Every Presidential Candidate stacks the deck in their favor. Having a squad that fights your fights for you, so you don't have to, is nothing new.

The reality of the situation is no President is an island. On election day, all of sudden businesses don't turn around. It takes time. The nation is actually running on the previous administration's policy until late in the inaugeration year. Fact is, it was with Bush policies in effect that we hit over 10% unemployment. It's trended downward since.

Now I'm not saying Obama couldn't have done more. I think he could have. However, it's a joke to comparion Feb 2001 to Feb 2012 and claim a net loss due to Obama. During Obama is a bit more truthful but still doesn't fully convey that at this time Obama policies were not yet passed by Congress or stamped Obama.

That's not what you said when Bush was president ...

People anticipate future policies of the president and plan accordingly based on campaign policies and their estimation of how it will impact them, in the future.

The Stimulus bill was passed by Feb of 2008

Obama's policies are a dismal failure

Actually it was. Look at jobs at the end of 2001 vs jobs in 2009. What you find is with Bush a net loss of jobs in the economy after 8 years. No one in their right mind wants that again.

Yes it was. Bush signed the Stimulus bill in Feb 2008. Obama wasn't sworn in, until Feb 2009. So I'm not sure why you're blaming Obama for something he didn't do?

Also, Bush made a special request in late 2009 for a special budget that covered Oct 2008 until Sept 2009. Which is why I say 2009 budget the US was operating under Bush's budget. The Bush 2009 Budget projected $400Billion in losses. The actual deficit was $1.4Trillon.

Now yes Obama did push a special spending bill in 2009. It didn't remove the Bush Budget. It added about $140 Billion to the loss.

It's fairly amazing the right-wing declare Obama this huge spender when in truth the Bush Budget added about 18% to the deficit for that 2009 year. Obama's first budget passed in late 2009 for 2010 added about 11% to the deficit. Bush added about 30% of new programs to the government. Clinton era was around 20% growth in programs. The 8 years of Bush demonstrated how non-conservative Republicans are. Along with demonstrating how much Republicans encourage big government. Is there a difference between these two parties? Perhaps. The Republicans want to borrow lots and spend lot. The Dems want to raise taxes which covers spending so borrow a little and spend lots.
