I agree and I don't use drugs, lol. But the drug lords want it to remain illegal. I'm all for legalizing everything and let the states decide on what they will allow or not allow in their states. Long as the different states' DUI/BUI/FUI penalties are significantly increased to felony range

And? As a none drug user, it's not very high on my "must have" policy guideline. I'm holding my nose and voting for the most conservative running since there is no Tea Party candidate left. Now physically shutting down the US-MX border would go a very long way of limiting problems.

sorry, thats just your partisan pettiness trying to capitalize on time honored police techniques failing under the current administration in the hopes of blackening their eye a bit.... hell... where i live, the heart of a red state, cops and staties gave meth to a guy and allowed him free passage just so they could use him as a CI. he ended up killing his girlfriend with a 2X4 one night outside a trailer house. but hey dont worry... no cops were harmed since they were just following procedure...

there were no tracking devices installed or other means to trace these guns (650 firearms, mainly AK-47 variants) the only purpose for letting these guns “walk” seems to be politics, an excuse for new gun-control laws.

The ATF told gun store owners to sell to suspicious people who wanted to buy AK-47s by the dozen.

ATF field agents were regularly ordered to abandon surveillance of suspicious gun purchases

at least 200 Mexican deaths can now be traced to weapons from the Fast and Furious program.

Who ever authorized fast and furious (Eric Holder) needs to do jail time

If laws were broken, absolutely. Fast and Furious was Wide Receiver on steroids and clearly illegal since the intended target was in a foreign country that required State Dept permits.

Wide Receiver actually attempted to track the guns using RFID chips and aerial surveillance to arrest the buyers before they crossed the border
    Wide Receiver

Fast and Furious made no attempt to track or arrest the gun buyers

So you recognize that the drug war is a waste of your money, and that it increases violence in society and increases the danger to the police but it's not a big deal to you because you don't do drugs?

heres my point... illegal, incompetent, however you want to slice it, it doesnt really matter. its war. anything goes. and its been that way for a long time... they do all kinds of dumb stuff. who knows they may have had to trade those guns for captured mercenaries. wouldnt be the first time this government has traded arms for hostages.... now would it?
