On October 1, Chad Henderson was apparently the only person in the US to successfully signed up for a health care exchange as part of the Affordable Care Act.

He was instantly catapulted into the national spotlight as the White House and every single national media outlet in America sought to both confirm his story and celebrate his success.

No reports yet if others shared Mr Henderson's lottery winning success

UPDATE: It turns out Henderson’s knowledge of OFA was not the result of his astuteness or political acumen. According to his LinkedIn profile, he is a current OFA volunteer.

Apparently signing up for Obamacare causes you to jump off tall buildings ....

No reports yet on Ian's last name or where funeral services will be held

Chad Henderson, who told numerous other news outlets that he had successfully enrolled in health coverage via the Obamacare health insurance exchanges, recanted his story Friday.

Chad's Twitter message was shared more than 70 times, including by the Twitter accounts for Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and White House Domestic Policy Council Director Celia Muñoz.
Both HuffPost and The Washington Post noted in their coverage the unusual amount of attention Chad was getting from the press. Chad's apparent enrollment was interesting because HealthCare.gov has been plagued with glitches since launching earlier this week.

even OFA volunteers are unable to successfully sign up for Obamacare!

This man disqualified from appearing in the next “Obamacare is super easy” HHS ad.

ROFL

if you really need health care now, you can wait for the site to get fixed “or you can enroll in medical school, graduate and then just take of yourself, ... which is probably faster.”
