It looks like I will be a lot less active starting next week or so. I just found out my job will be putting a ton more on my plate, so checking in from work when I get a free minute may stop. I'm sure most won't mind less of my wild ramblings, but the other mods will have to pick up the slack for news approval (which has been greatly improved BTW). We'll see how things work out, but I fear this is going to be a mountain of work. It also doesn't help that I was just changed back from salary to hourly. Work hours used to be fungible, so checking in from work could be any time of the day . Now I am going more to the set hours and having to cram during the times. Maybe Karlos, Robert or faethor can write a script that replies for me in all political threads? Mike knows what I would say, so he could supplies a dozen or so stock lines for the script to randomly pick.

Just let me know when to type RUN But, anyhow, on a more related note... At least they made you back into hourly before dumping a ton of extra work on ya. Around here, the typical thing is to "promote" you to salaried, and then dump a bunch of extra work, and avoid paying overtime, because you're salaried. Needless to say, that's a "promotion" most smart folks turn down.
My company prides itself as one of the most ethical companies to work for. Considering any time my work load has increased I've received a bump in salary, I would have to agree. I am lucky to have this job and to have to chain of command above me that I do, especially considering the sorry state of this economy and country!
Indeed, my own salary and hours have dropped through the floor, currently looking for alternate employment as there are things on the horizon that will render my income less than I need to live. See you around Red.
