Fake News

the Onion is only "potentially unreliable" vs the Daily Mail being completely unreliable ?? and why are not the New York TImes and the Washington comPost not listed as unreliable? All media publications have biases. and all of them have click bait stories now, you have to evaluate each story by itself, even the National Enquirer has randomly printed some actual researched news stories.

the Onion is only "potentially unreliable" vs the Daily Mail being completely unreliable ??

Apples and oranges.
The Onion (like the Daily Mash, which is a parody of the Daily Mail) is satire.
The Daily Mail passes it's rabble-rousing-pish off as fact.

CNN PANICKING to hide what people noticed at their town hall last night…

Well.... CNN admitted today that they edit all questions for time, content, and overlap. So really, the entire meeting was a sham. Nice. Nothing like disguising a scripted talk show as "news."

WashPo “fact checker” goes NUTS over FAKE racist Trump ad

The ad, claimed to be from 1969, was in fact created in 2016. The footage in question was taken from a 1969 film about drug addiction, and the hoaxer merely did a voiceover while adding “Paid for by the Committee to Elect Frederick C. Trump” at the end.

Per the Washington Examiner, Soon after Blumenthal’s essay appeared online this week, the videos he mentioned were widely shared on social media by reporters in various newsrooms. The Washington Post’s fact-checker, Glenn Kessler, was one of the first to circulate the videos on Twitter, and his note was shared by several of his colleagues.

The Muslim Olympian 'Detained Because of President Trump's Travel Ban' was Detained Under Obama

Many journalists skipped over the “when” of Muhammad’s story, and rushed to publish reports tying her story to the president’s immigration order.

“Olympic athlete Ibtihaj Muhammad was detained because of President Trump’s travel ban,” read a headline published by Time magazine’s Motto.

The U.K.’s Independent went with a story titled, “US Olympic fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad says she was detained by Customs after Donald Trump’s ‘Muslim ban.’

The Daily Mail said of the incident that it, “comes after Donald Trump signed an executive order – currently suspended – banning travel from seven largely Muslim countries causing chaos in US airports.”

“U.S. Olympian Ibtihaj Muhammad being detained illustrates why Trump’s Muslim ban is not who we are as Americans,” read the headline to an article published by the New York Daily News.

The Hill published an article whose opening paragraph read, “A Muslim-American Olympic medalist says she was detained by Customs for nearly two hours without explanation after President Trump’s travel ban was instituted a few weeks ago.”

Sports Illustrated and ESPN published stories whose entire purpose was to tie Muhammad’s Customs tale to Trump’s immigration order, though the reports don’t come right out and say it.

Journalists reacted to the story on social media with the usual mixture of despair and outrage.

The problem with this particular news cycle is that Muhammad was detained in 2016, weeks before Trump had even been sworn in as America’s 45th president.

“This all happened in December, which was well before any executive order,” the Customs official told the Examiner, “which is a totally separate incident.”

Yeah, about the Liberal Media getting so excited about Six Patriots skipping the White House visit...

Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Has the Perfect Response to Players Skipping White House Visit

“Well, you know what’s interesting, this is our, I’m happy to say, fifth Super Bowl in the last 16 years,” Kraft said on the Today Show Monday. “And every time we’ve had the privilege of going to the White House, a dozen of our players don’t go. This is the first time it’s gotten any media attention.”

Back in 2013 the Liberal Media were mortified about 3 members of the 1972 Dolphins skipping a White House Trip. Would more have skipped if still alive? Probably not. Strange how they flip flop opinions like that, huh? Just how libs roll. For the record, I brought it up at the time here and basically said as I thought they should go. Obama had done far, far more damage to the country at that point than Trump could ever hope to do. The division we see now is all Obama's doing.

CNN banned in Venezuela, due to Fake News.

CNN must leave his country, after claiming that CNN en Espanol misrepresented information, according to El Nacional. El Nacional reported that Maduro warned CNN not to put their nose in Venezuela and that he wants CNN “well away” from his country.

This misrepresentation was in reference to CNN en Espanol’s in-depth program detailing the alleged delivery of fraudulent Venezuelan passports and visas to the Venezuelan embassy in Iraq that were then reportedly sold to possible terrorists.

El Mundo reported that Maduro exclaimed in his tirade against the broadcasting network that media such as just CNN try to manipulate.
According to El Mundo, one of those mentioned in CNN’s program was Maduro’s vice president Tareck El-Aissami. It pointed out El-Aissami’s alleged relation to Hezbollah.

He also claimed the news channel manipulated information about a student’s complaint regarding the lack of food at school.

Pelosi Falls For Fake Mike Flynn Twitter Account, Realizes Mistake On Live TV

Nancy Pelosi, along with a whole lot of other Democratic Party leaders and activists fell for a General Mike Flynn parody account, and actually cited it in a news conference according to an AP Fact Check.

At a news conference Tuesday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., complained that Republicans in Congress were not adequately investigating Flynn’s actions. In doing so, they cited a tweet purportedly from Flynn that said, “I feel it is unfair that I have been made the sole scapegoat for what happened.”

Of course, The New York Times fell for it too, running an article citing the fake tweets, here is part of the correction:

Also, because of an editing error, an earlier version quoted three posts from an unverified Twitter account purporting to be Mr. Flynn’s, responding to the resignation.

Democrats on Twitter even ran with the fake news story:

Silence from Robert...
