Well there hasn't been one of these, well since the new update. I recall that a few of us, like most Americans, are/were dealing with our weight.

Recently I find a program - Eat Burn and Learn - that runs on my Win 7 Phone. You put in your height, weight, a few other characteristics and enter the # of pounds you want to lose a week. It tells you how many calories to consume. You then enter what you eat and enter what you exercise. It tracks this stuff. And of course you enter your weight along the way. This gives you a surplus or deficit of calories. It tracks the change in weight.

So far it's worked well for me. I started on July 5th at 240 pounds. As of today I'm 223.5. While trying for 1.5 pounds per week, I have been increasing the exercise so this ~2 lbs/week has worked out well.

Anyway I feel better, am less lethargic, and sleep better. Another plus is my wife says I seem to not be snoring at night any longer. I hope to drop to 220 then change it to 1 lb/week until I get back below 200. I don't want to drop to the ~170 for my 6' height but 185-190 would be nice.

I have hit a wall of laziness in the last couple months that I have not been able to shake. My lethargy is once again getting to the point I wonder if it is medical related.

hey, that's great faethor. I'm sure your wife is getting more sleep as well.

I think one of the many reasons I never cared to marry is because every time I hear a snore I have an overwhelming desire to KILL someone :D

Tis winter downunder and once again I've regained the 10kg I lost over summer and I'm now sitting at a rather unhealthy 103kg. Got off my lazy bum last night when I got home from the outlaws and hit my garage gym, spent a bit of time on the bag and pressed some light weights, I actually feel pretty damn good today. The only problem I have with working out is that it seems to set my hormones racing...

Adz -- Good job working out.

And yes exercise stimulates the body including hormones.

A brief update. I'm down to 210.5 lbs. Body fat to 29% from 43%. I completed my first half Marathon today in 2:55:50. Certainly no where near a speed demon but it felt good.

*sigh* where is the romance gone, the man, casually passing by, and you, dreaming of his deep blue eyes, of being held in his strong arms, and his long blonde hair flaunting in the wind....

An update. Moreso to get back on track but thanks for reading.

After the 1/2 marathon things slowed down. I didn't focus as much on exercising and watching what I eat. Though I must be learning because even after the heavy food holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas and NY's) I was down a couple of more pounds.

Jan has been trying to get back into the swing of things. Some friends set goals for Feb. which helped me get refocused and back into things.

I'm down to 203.0 pounds and 28% body fat (darn scale bounces to 27% but I'll take the higher #.) At 6' that's doing well. I am not sure how much more. The measures say about 180 is right for my size. I think closer to 190 I'll reassess. Now to pick that big goal this year for a race. I think perhaps a sprint, which is a type of mini-tri.

Feb was rough, in so far as no real loss. Today I was 199.0 and 26-27% body fat. I did the 7K at 11:40min/miles. Yeah not the fastest on the block and I walked some but it was done.
