If you had gotten the X-ray glasses as a kid, what would you have spent your time looking at with them?? TSA agents = government paid peeping tom's with a badge!
Pay peanuts, get monkeys, that goes for both the public and private sector. Metal detectors, chemical sniffers coupled with people trained in behavioural analysis would be a far better option and actually offer real security. Hell, ex cops probably have all the tools they need to perform that last role. Instead your choices are to be irradiated to unknown and quite possibly dangerous levels (especially if you're a frequent flyer) or be molested in front of the others as a punishment for not wishing the former. At least you folks have the option of opting out. The UK denies its citizens that right.
