I love how they threw in the "missing children" in there just to smooth it all over. Didn't realize missing children had license plates attached to them. Unless they slipped and accidentally revealed that the cameras are also capable of facial recognition (which is fully possible as Google has tested it with Google Goggles and admitted that it's highly effective but intentionally disabled for privacy reasons). I hope at least that by "hit" they mean, a license plate that they're actively searching for. It seems to me that the "hit" list should at the very least have judicial oversight, but I'm guessing not. Guess that will have to be tested in the courts.
As long as its "to improve safety" "for the children" for the $$$ Anyone in California snapped violating a red light pays a fine of $480 just keep the yellow set at 2 sec for maximum revenue
