Syed Farook and his partner Tashfeen Malik were shot dead by police officers following a car chase through the streets of the city. Police said Farook and Malik, aged 28 and 27, were intercepted and a gun battle with more than 20 officers left their dark SUV riddled with bullets and both suspects dead.

The chase came about four hours after Farook left a gathering of fellow public health employees of San Bernardino county where he worked. Police said he was angry and departed early, only to return with his partner. Both were heavily armed.

Obama say's this was just another case of workplace violence

It was either a couple of atheists upset about the decorations at a Christmas party

or

Some X-tian pro-lifers who thought they were attacking a planned parenthood office, but went to the wrong address

Obama just assured us on Dec 4th that ISIS was contained and that there were no known plots targeting the US

Robert, please do tell us who and when did a Republican hire a terrorist sympathizer as his top adviser, in the fight against terrorism..
Everyone is waiting on your words of wisdom.

Saying there is no difference between Democrats and Republicans is like saying there is no difference between England and Scotland.

Clueless!

I said if you keep voting for one of the two, nothing substantial will change.
Not the same as as saying there is no difference, although you probably still think that's clueless. :D

Robert, could this start you on the path to finding a clue?

Democrats to Attend Prayer Service at Radical Mosque.
Democratic lawmakers are planning to attend prayer services at a Washington-area mosque that has been accused of acting as a front for Hamas and that served as the home of terrorist spiritual leader Anwar al-Awlaki, who reportedly mentored two of the 9/11 hijackers.

that's why I haven't done that in years

Methinks those years are 7 and 3.

The most ironic part of you helping me find a clue is that I don't think you're deliberately missing the point.

Worst yet?:

At least 50 people died and dozens more were injured at a Florida nightclub in the worst mass shooting in recent US history.

Following reports a lone gunman carried out the attack after pledging allegiance to Islamic State, former Republican presidential nominee Marco Rubio warned the incident represented the “new face of the war on terror”.

Gunman Omar Mateen opened fire on revellers at gay bar Pulse in Orlando in the early hours of yesterday morning, before being shot dead by officers.

1,000 mass shootings in 1,260 days

Sunday’s attack on the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida was the deadliest mass shooting in American history – but there were five other mass shootings in the US during that weekend alone.

there is a mass shooting – defined as four or more people shot in one incident, not including the shooter – on five out of every six days, on average.
True on all accounts. There is simply no solution for it though. Gun control doesn't work. There is realistically NO way that the American people will EVER give up their weapons.

As anti-logic as it may seem, the only real solution is providing training for, and access to firearms for the average citizen, then providing real, FUNDED healthcare for people with mental issues...

How sad.

That point of view always reminds me of the bottom panel in this old cartoon:

There is simply no solution for it though.
Just because it is impossible to prevent all traffic fatalities, that does not mean it is pointless to require car manufacturers to include airbags and seatbelts in every vehicle as well as to require individuals to pass a test before they are legally alllowed to drive an object that can easily kill innocent people when used inappropriately.

Gun control doesn't work. There is realistically NO way that the American people will EVER give up their weapons.
Gun control does not equal giving up weapons.

As anti-logic as it may seem, the only real solution is providing training for, and access to firearms for the average citizen
Do you honestly believe training is going to help 50 people in an enclosed space when they are being completely surprised by a guy carrying an assault rifle?

then providing real, FUNDED healthcare for people with mental issues...
Taxing ammunition to fund it would be an interesting concept. Not that the NRA would ever endorse it...

Sorry, but that is just plain weird.
