They're going to go after metal?

Hahaha, good luck with that! If they thought gamers were a handful they're in for one hell of a shock going after metalheads...

They have no concept of the horror that they are about to unleash.

Someone pass the popcorn please?

--edit--

Just a thought - I'm trying really hard to imagine these hipsters attempting to use their standard shaming tactics against of Gwar concert goers... Every time I try the scenario ends with the SJWs getting eaten.

You know, there is a certain amount of fun in pointing out the stupidity of some of these groups, but the totalitarian mindset that pushes for feels before reals does sometimes generate some actually scary unintended consequences.

Such as this: "Profs Have Stopped Teaching Rape Law Now That Everything 'Triggers' Students."
what the heck?!

I always thought you became an adult when you realized that no one gave a crap about your feelings.
and that you had to just man up and get on with doing what you had to do without being a big cry baby

Home of the what? Land of the what?
I'm not sure whether it's ageing hippies still trying to build their utopian Age of Aquarius or whether it's driven by our overlords hoping to keep the population infantilized so they can be kept as harmless pets. Zero tolerance for schoolyard fights. Zero tolerance for gun shaped objects. Zero tolerance for rough play. Zero tolerance for anger. Zero tolerance for complaints. Zero tolerance for asserting your rights. Zero tolerance for talking about unfortunate reality. That's like abstinence-only sex ed but for life. "Kid's, I know there are bad people who go out and live life - we strongly suggest you avoid that sort of unpleasantness at all cost."

I saw an article the other day in another place that pointed out that the current crop of uni students are increasingly unwilling/incapable of moving out of their comfort zones on any level, moreover that the frameworks within unis not only protect this, but actively encourage it.

I'll find the link as I think everyone here will have a blast with it.

Everything is about Trigger warnings, and feelings on campus now

"TRIGGER WARNING: Violent language regarding an extremely dismissive response from a professor. This is an email exchange I had with my professor this evening. ... We are obviously not preaching to the choir. Professors and administration at Oberlin need to be held accountable for their words and actions and have a responsibility to their students."
