47%ers and Mitt

catch it before it goes away
That was awesome! And not just the video itself, but that it actually worked for me while still in Canada! Typically I need to log into a special Canadian version of Comedy Central and hunt down the same video, but this time it worked!!!

I think you can watch That because it's just youtube. I saw this on G+ and quickly linked it because comedy central may have YT remove it (copyrite infringement).
Some guy just put it up and I'm expecting it to be short=lived

you guys are unreal... glad your here...
it's hysterical that they think insisting the gov do THEIR job (social services like the ones you named) are considered 'slavery' by these numbskull's but real corporate slavery (jobs sent overseas, only allowing part time work to not pay insurance for employees, etc) just flies over their little pointed heads

Should work well on simple minds. Falls on it's face after a moments thought, but that's not the market you're going for.

@chrisrockoz
If only there were some way I could deliberately make myself poorer in order to take advantage of the low taxes and food stamps.

Great chart Robert. I'd like to note that some have desired a flat-tax system. It appears to me, from that chart, we have a flat tax system. Well, except for the top eschelon who pay less. If we want a flat system in an attempt for a more equal tax system I think there's a couple of simple changes that would go far. First, social security is capped tax at $110K. Take that off. No matter the income one must pay SS. Second, monies are taxed unequally. Money from investments are taxed less than money from physical labor. No matter how the wealth was acquired tax it at the same rate. Let's see what that does for the next 4 years then take it from there.

My brother not only works everyday (and gets up at 4Am to get to his job early so he can leave early and avoid the worst of "rush hour", but when he gets home he does his freelance work. I called him last Sunday about visiting mom and he was WORKING and couldn't come.

He is the only wage earner and is sending his son to college. He wrote to me referring to romney:
I pay a 28% tax rate and he pays a 13% (when he does pay taxes). Why is that?!

I take as many deductions as I can but I can't get it down to 13%. I wonder why.

Of course since GW Bush my company has taken a 50% negative hit since Clinton. I will show you my tax returns as opposed to mittens.

Just sayin'
And, believe me my brother is not even close to being a millionaire even though the work he does is priceless.

I was a fan of Steve Forbes flat tax years back. You know how many billions could be saved by eliminating the IRS? Of course dems would cry about the lost gov jobs. Everyone should pay a flat percentage, preferably as a sales tax.

Romney donated 29% of his income to charity in 2011 (4 million) which resulted in a 13% tax rate

the same rate as Obama paid

Repeal the deduction for charitable giving, and for state income taxes!

Sounds like your brother needs a (better?) tax accountant.

That really is an amazing amount of donations. I bet that 4 million did a lot, unlike federal income tax that goes into the great void.

Yeah they're just sitting and not spending the money. Look at the size of the Federal savings account it's huge! OK not really 2011 we lost about $1.3Trillon or the same as the unfunded Iraqi and unfunded Afgani wars.

So much for Obama bringing our boys home.

From time to time I’ve been audited, as happens, I think ,to other citizens as well, and the accounting firm which prepares my taxes has done a very thorough and complete job pay taxes as legally due. I don’t pay more than are legally due and frankly if I had paid more than are legally due I don’t think I’d be qualified to become president. I’d think people would want me to follow the law and pay only what the tax code requires.

who said that?
