Don't come here. Snow starting today, ending Saturday. Up to 20" in my area.

Wow. We're expecting light snow up here, 10cm at most sometime tomorrow. Was hoping for a green Christmas - something I've yet to experience in Winnipeg. I think Fade jinxed me. :wink:

Same in the UK.
In fact, it's worse than that. Without exaggerating, there is about three centimeters on the ground here and it's caused chaos.

Anything less then 3cm here we call a "dusting". However, Winnipeg is all flat without inclinations at all. I'd expect places with greater elevations would have problems with even very little snow. Right Fluffy?

Well, the place is still covered with frozen snow but it's a beautifully sunny, Christmas day.

Saying Winnipeg is flat is an understatement. The joke about North Dakota is it's so flat one can see the ocean.

Our snow was a bit of a let down only about 4" yesterday. But, the winter gods blessed us over night with another 4" or so. It's 34 and snowing. Meaning the snow is frelling heavy. It's supposed to keep up until Saturday so maybe we'll get the 20.. Fingers crossed

We don't really get snow in Vancouver. We usually get some sort of white slushy lubricant that can stick to hills but not car tires.

Great. We hit 36 and it changed to rain. Which means about 6" of snow, now slightly melted due to rain, with a fresh layer of ice on top of everything. I want more snow!

Well you can always come up here for a visit. We got a slow but constant snow fall since the 25th. I think it stopped today. That's ok, it gave me time to get to chapter 21 in Uncharted 2, which Santa was nice enough to leave under the tree for me. And once that's done I'll have Modern Warfare 2 to keep me busy. :mrgreen:

10cm? That would shut down Huntsville for a week!

The local joke around here is that one snowflake sends the masses to the grocery stores to buy out all the milk, bread and eggs (reporters love covering this event). I have to wonder... if the power goes out in such an event (as it usually does) what exactly do people expect to make? Soggy french toast? :roflmao:

Actually, I'd love to see 10cm of snow here. I've got the artic gear and only get to use it when they send me to Alaska in winter. :pint:
